lewis is my 16yr old son,diagnosed in march08,with aplastic anaemia,a very rare disease,which means
bonemarrow failure,it strange he was never ill,we had never heard of it,he was admitted to alder
hey,to start his treatment,of multiple transfusions,until he could have a transplant he was so
brave,his medication was,nt working and he started to lose weight,then we got news they found a
donor in germany,we were delighted,he went in on 7th july to start chemo,and then a week later have
transplant
sadly the transplant failed and lewis was rushed ti i.c.u. with breathing problems,he was vented on
the 13th august,he never regained and organ failure started,we lost him on the 28th august he died
in my arms am heartbroken still can,t believe it all in 6 months.he loved his family friends,
football,music,playstation3,always on his mobile,loved all takeaways.very laid back lad,always
teasing people,argumentive,funny,very popular with his friends,always had a cheeky smile,can,t
believe not gonna see that smile again.or the words,are you ok mum.miss him badly.LOVE YOU SO MUCH
